Art and Soul
Art and Soul is designed to enhance the lives of others through artistic projects.
We will pull our talents together and create things to brighten people’s days by providing artwork and cards for nursing homes, Deacon Joe’s homeless friends and any other need that arises! Regular meetings will be on the second Wednesday of the month, but we will meet on other Wednesdays to be determined when we need it.
Art and Soul is currently open to students in grades four through eight and we meet right after school from 2:30-3:30 in the art room. If you wish to join us, please let Mrs. Platko know! Your act of kindness may make a real difference in someone’s life!!!

Broadcast Team
The Bourgeois Broadcast Booth in the Jansky Learning Center provides SPB students with an opportunity to use technology to create, produce, and edit video utilizing a green screen. Complete with a soundboard mixer, teleprompter, state-of-the-art MacBook Air, microphones, video camera, and extra video monitors, the Broadcast Booth allows students to work in front of a green screen. Primarily used for morning broadcast announcements, students use the software Wirecast to create layers of audio and video output to produce a live broadcast each morning transmitted to classroom ActivPanels. Our broadcast team consists of 7th and 8th grade students who rotate working on the computer, soundboard, teleprompter, scripts, camera, and behind the anchor desk. The Broadcast Booth also allows for school-wide broadcasts of special announcements, such as Buddy Bingo around Christmas time, and pre-recorded videos such as the Student Council Harvest for Hunger skit.

Junior Youth Group
Grades 6th, 7th, and 8th
Saint Paschal Baylon has a long tradition with Junior Youth Group, affectionally known as JYG. The Summit’s JYG meets every Sunday night, starting in August, from 5:30-7:00. Together with the high school youth group, we will all sit together and celebrate Mass at 7:00. This special Teen Mass is geared towards the youth of our parish (no matter what age!) with more contemporary music to enhance our celebration of the Eucharist!

Youth Minister: Mrs. Evamarie Cross
Schola Cantorum
Schola Cantorum is a group of seventh and eighth graders who lead the singing and cantoring at our weekly school Masses. Practices are typically held on Thursday mornings from 8:15-8:45 a.m.
Scouts
Saint Paschal Baylon offers Dens for Tigers (1st Grade), Wolves (2nd Grade), Bears (3rd Grade) and Webelos (4th and 5th Grades). We meet at Saint Paschal Baylon School twice a month on average. We usually offer two camping weekends, two service projects, and a ton of fun! Two of the more well-known events are the Pinewood Derby Races and rocket launches. However, we pack the schedule full of fun.
Scouting is a school year-round program which allows for youth to participate in multiple youth programs or go and come as their schedules allow (understanding that some work has to be done outside of meetings to stay on track for advancement). We endorse involvement in sports, church, school, fine and practical arts, and any other activity that helps young people develop character and life skills. Scouting will always be here when they get back if they have to leave.
