The youngest minds require the closest attention, and at Saint Paschal Baylon Catholic School, we provide it in an environment that sparks and satisfies curiosity. Here we aim to plant the seeds of creativity and strong faith in the eager minds of our students. Our skillful teachers facilitate the growth of these young souls through the encouragement of creativity, self-expression and identification of gifts.

Each child is unique, and so we strive to inspire and support the talents of each one through frequent activities and opportunities in the classroom. These are the formative years of a child’s life and we aim to ground them in a wholesome Christian foundation that encourages creativity, curiosity and innovation.

Is SPB accredited?

All Catholic schools located in the Diocese of Cleveland are chartered through the state of Ohio, maintained through the Ohio Catholic Accrediting Association (OCSAA). Most recently, we were awarded FULL ACCREDITATION in May 2026.

Can we visit the school?

We welcome you to visit our school and take a tour of the facilities. Please call the office at 440-442-6766 or email at office@saintpaschal.com to set up an appointment in advance. If your child is interested in spending the day at our school (grades 1-8), please make arrangements with the office.

What is the application process?

We offer a “Sneak Peek” at the end of January for interested students in K-8. The Sneak Peek offers parents an opportunity for a school tour, a question and answer session, and light refreshments. In February/March, parents of interested students in grades1-8 can schedule a meeting with the principal during which you will receive an explanation of the Application Information Packet and tour of the school. This typically lasts one hour. If you are interested in having your child shadow for the day, arrangements can be made for that day. Submit the completed application form with a $225 per student application fee which is non-refundable. This fee is required for all students and is applied toward the technology program and playground supervision fees. Open registration is completed following priority enrollment for our current families.

What is your enrollment?

Our current enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year is 422 students in Preschool through grade 8. We have 366 students in kindergarten through grade 8.

What is a typical class size?

The average class size is 19 students in grades K-8 with two classes per grade level.

What is the school’s curriculum?

The school’s curriculum is based on the curriculum of the Diocese of Cleveland. The curriculum for the Diocese of Cleveland flows from the philosophy and goals of Catholic education, infuses the Social Justice Teachings of the Church, the Rights of Children, Catholic faith and values, and are aligned with the Ohio Learning Standards. The Diocesan curriculum is approved by the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association and by the Ohio Department of Education.

What are the school hours?

Our school day is 8:05 a.m. –2:30 p.m. Students may enter their classrooms starting at 7:45 a.m.

Do you accept the EdChoice Scholarship?

Yes, we are EdChoice Scholarship providers. Interested students cannot apply for the EdChoice Scholarship until they are accepted to our school. We do not accept the Cleveland Scholarship.

Where do we purchase school uniforms?

Uniforms should be purchased at Schoolbelles. They can be purchased online or in person at the Richmond Heights location.

Is there a hot lunch program?

We have a hot lunch program available to students each school day through Mayfield Food/Nutrition Services. Lunches are prepared on site in our kitchen. The cost of lunch is $3.25. Milk is also available to our students at a cost of $45.00 for the year.

Do you offer an Extended Day program?

Yes, Right at School provides after school care from 2:30–6:00 p.m. on our school premises. To learn more about the program, please visit the Right at School website.

Is bus transportation available?

For the 2026-2027 school year, bus transportation is available for students who live in the Mayfield, South Euclid-Lyndhurst, Richmond Heights, and Willoughby-Eastlake school districts. Please contact your school district’s transportation department for specific areas covered.

How is technology integrated at SPB?

Technology is integrated throughout the school. Our school campus is wireless, and each classroom is equipped with an ActivPanel.We have a 1:1 Chromebook program for our fifth through eighth grade students with each student assigned a Chromebook to use both at home and at school. We also have four carts of Chromebooks and eight carts of iPads available for students in kindergarten through fourth grade to use.

How can parents get involved?

There are many opportunities for parents to get involved in the life of the school, including classroom volunteers, field trip chaperones, playground supervisors, lunch servers, and more! In addition we have a very active and supportive School Advisory Council, PTO, Ladies Guild, and Athletic Association that meet monthly.

What is the school's policy regarding background checks for employees and volunteers who have contact with students?

All employees and volunteers who have contact with students undergo thorough screening, including background checks through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation & Identification (BCI&I). for complete information on screening policies, see the revised Policy for the Safety of Children in Matters of Sexual Abuse, section 1.2 (p. 3).

Where do SPB students go to high school?

The majority of our graduates attend local Catholic high schools–Beaumont, Benedictine, Gilmour, Lake Catholic, NDCL, St. Edward, St. Ignatius, and Villa-Angela St. Joseph. We also have students that attend private schools as well as local public high schools, many of whom are accepted into gifted/talented, International Baccalaureate, and other accelerated programs.
